Artist's Comments
This is one of the two snow leopards at the Calgary Zoo. I honestly thought they were the most beautiful animals I had ever seen. There were two things I wanted at that point: one for myself and for those animals to be out in the wild where they belonged. To cage their incredible beauty seemed such a horrible crime.
Again, not much fixing except for some dodging and burning. I intensified the blue in the eyes, but not so much that one would notice. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. |
