A very strange and lonely girl,
She looked from here to there,
And everywhere,

She was so blind,
But heard the sound,
Of the cries around.

That magic day you came her way,
An answer to her prayers,
But never knew,
The pain in truth and lies.
I knew her too,
This girl, she spoke of you,
And told me of the world:
“There are many sights,
And many sounds,
Men like hounds,
Girls in gowns,
But this I tell you now:
The greatest one,
In all the world,
Is to see love,
And be loved in return.”

Yes, it is I, back from the dead. I miss everyone dearly, and I should really be doing my piano theory right now, but I felt like doing some writing. I was planning on making some sort of poetry complaining about how people whine for no reason, but this came out instead. Who knows why? This is a poem about me, I suppose, because I don't write nearly as much about myself as I should. There's plenty to write about, I just don't want to be a narcissist, you know? I wrote this poem for my best friends. I hope you know who you are, and I love you dearly, with all my heart. You are the answer to my prayers, and without you, I wouldn't be here. Sorry for the sheer lame-ness of my writing. I've got this block... |
